It is designed to mount against 1" ribbed steel panel siding, and also suitable for any wall depth as long as it is mounted properly. The fan is powerful and moves a decent amount of air every 3 minutes, without being too loud on low. Most reviews praised this product, are satisfied with its quality, quiet and reliable function. However, several drawbacks were highlighted such as the non-standard American size, the motor overheating, or the durability of the electric switch, that broke after 3 years.
