Kahramanımız Hacı Ağa, bu topraklarda da binlerce benzerini görebileceğimiz her devrin adamlarından.Kimilerine isim sembolizasyonlarıyla özel adlar verdiği yan karakterler ise her devrin kullanışlı bireyleri. 1940'ların İran'ında çizdiği panorama sadece o dönemin İran'ının değil, son bir asırdan fazladır bütün bölgenin hikayesini anlatıyor adeta. Sermayenin ve sermayenin maşalarının dini çıkarlarına nasıl alet ettiklerini, kendi çıkarları uğruna her yolu mubah sayanları, hepimizin çok iyi tanıdığı yüzsüz, zübük politikacıları ve onların yardakçılarını hikaye ediyor.
